Ruth Vollmer

Ruth Vollmer works as a researcher at bicc - Bonn International Centre for Conflict Studies. Her research examines the governance of mobility, processes of border and boundary-making, and return migration, with a regional focus on the European Union and Western Balkans, especially Albania, Kosovo, Germany and North Macedonia. Since 2019, she has pursued these research interests through two consecutive projects, combining own qualitative data collection with participatory research approaches. She holds an MA in Linguistics, Political Science, and Psychology from the University of Bonn.
